Guest Actor Biography |

by Mark H. Stevens Most die-hard James Bond fans—and probably a few Avengers fans, too—will recognize the late Cec Linder (short for Cecil) as one of the many faces of Felix Leiter. Linder played the American CIA agent in Goldfinger with Honor Blackman, taking over from Jack Lord. After this he would spend the next 25 years going back and forth between movies and television, appearing in everything from Henry Winkler's An American Christmas Carol to two of the Perry Mason movies with Raymond Burr. The earliest appearance I can find for him was in the original BBC television production of Quatermass and the Pit (1958). Born 10 March 1921 in Timmins, Ontario, Canada, he'd made over 50 film appearances—mostly as doctors, it seems—before he died in 1992. |
