Michael Bilton Winter, Legacy of Death

Michael Bilton was a good old trouper, often in support roles in sitcoms, including To The Manor Born (1979, with Penelope Keith and Peter Bowles), but I'm afraid most British viewers remember him from a soppy commercial for Yellow Pages, in which he played an old gardener. Years before, he was a background player in Quatermass II (1955).

Doctor Who fans may recall him as the Time Lord in "The Deadly Assassin" (1976) and as Toligny in "The Massacre of St. Bartholomew's Eve" (1966)  He also appeared in The Saint, "To Kill A Saint" (1962) and The Champions, "The Night People" (1968).
