by Pete Stampede Paul Hardwick was generally a stage actor—indeed, he died in harness while appearing with Sir John Mills in Little Lies in 1984. Occasional films included The Prince and the Showgirl (1955). Again for Brian Clemens and Albert Fennell, he was notable in one of the strongest episodes of The Professionals, "In the Public Interest" (1978), as a fascist Chief Constable who turns a town into a police state. |
