Production completed: 11 October 1963
UK Premiere (London, Season 3): 16 November 1964
US Premiere (A&E cable): ca. 14 March 1991
An unusual eye graft procedure
requires Steed's participation to transport live corneas from Switzerland to London. But
Cathy and an eye surgeon question the procedure, and their investigation costs the latter
his life. The intended recipient of the grafts, blind since the war, is unable to see
that, not only is his fiancée locking lips with his partner in crime, but that the jewels
Steed is transporting are intercepted.
Sorry, the plot is as confusing to me as it appears to be to the
characters. Worthwhile, however, for Peter Bowles' fine performance and the sharp dialog between
Steed and the blind Halvarssen.
